Red World, usually shortened to just RW, is an alternate history mod. Originally the mod was published on Steam Workshop on the 13th of May 2017[1] and developed solely by Kaiser1871. Before the deletion of the steam workshop page, it peaked at over 50 thousand subscribers as of the 23rd of November 2020. Following Kaiser1871's death, announced by his cousin on the 23rd of March 2020, a fan fork has been established as the continuation of the mod's development in order to update the mod to recent versions of the game and to add additional content. The fan fork was uploaded to the Steam workshop on the 15th of July 2020. As of the 13th of March 2022, the mod has over 35 thousand subscribers on Steam workshop, and the latest update, House of Cards, was released on the 8th of November 2021.

Red World is set in an alternate 2010, where the Soviet Union won the Cold War with an American collapse in 1987, with entire mainland Europe under the Soviet sphere of influence and the former United States of America broken up into multiple states vying for control. However, a power struggle is looming over the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, meaning the great Union could be facing its downfall far sooner than expected. The United Kingdom is seen by many as the last bastion of democracy in Europe, as a threat to the Soviet world order. As the situation in the countries of the former United States of America stabilises, an unification may be underway, putting the country back on the play of world politics.

Red World can be downloaded from the Steam workshop. Additionally, the mod has an official subreddit, Discord server, Fandom wiki and TV Tropes page.
